Silver Mountain Resort's Silver Rapids Indoor Waterpark sits at the base of a ski mountain in the Silver Valley of North Idaho, making it one of the more unique water park locations you'll find. The indoor facility runs year-round, which is perfect when you're dealing with Idaho winters. The park centers around a decent-sized wave pool that generates some solid waves for body surfing or just floating around.

You'll find several water slides of varying intensity levels - nothing too extreme, but enough variety to keep different age groups happy. The lazy river winds around a good portion of the facility and moves at a nice pace for tubing. For younger kids, there's a dedicated play area with smaller slides, water features, and shallow pools where parents can actually relax a bit while keeping an eye on things.

The facility also includes hot tubs, which honestly feel amazing if you're visiting during ski season. You can literally go from the slopes to the water park in the same day. The indoor temperature stays comfortable year-round, though it can get pretty humid during peak times.

Since this is attached to a full mountain resort, you're looking at more of a destination stay rather than a day trip for most people. The crowds tend to be heaviest during ski season weekends and summer holidays. If you're staying at the resort, you get easier access, but day passes are available for non-guests.
