Noah’s Ark

Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells lives up to its claim as America's largest water park, sprawling across 70 acres of pure aquatic fun. I've visited multiple times, and the sheer scale still impresses me every trip. The park divides into several themed areas, but the highlight has to be the massive collection of water slides - over 50 of them ranging from gentle family tubes to heart-pounding speed slides that'll leave your stomach somewhere near the top.

The Scorpion's Tail is their signature ride, a nearly vertical drop slide that's not for the faint of heart. For families with younger kids, the dedicated children's areas are well-designed with smaller slides, splash features, and shallow pools where parents can actually relax while keeping an eye on their little ones. The lazy river here is genuinely relaxing, winding through different sections of the park and giving you a break from the Wisconsin sun.

What sets Noah's Ark apart from other parks is the variety - you can spend an entire day here without getting bored. The wave pools are solid, the multi-level play structures keep tweens entertained, and there are enough thrill rides to satisfy serious adrenaline junkies. Practical tips from my visits: arrive right when they open to beat the crowds, especially in summer.

The lines get brutal by noon. Bring reef-safe sunscreen because you'll be outside all day, and consider renting a cabana if you're visiting with a large group - the shade and storage space are worth it. Food options are typical theme park fare, so don't expect gourmet, but there's enough variety to keep everyone fed.

The park works best for families with kids of multiple ages since there's genuinely something appropriate for toddlers through teenagers. Plan for a full day here - rushing through Noah's Ark defeats the purpose.
