Point Mallard Park, Decatur: The One With the History

If you are already at the coast, Waterville USA in Gulf Shores is the water park that has anchored family vacations there for years. It packs 17 slides, a wave pool, a lazy river, a FlowRider surf simulator, and a kiddie area into one gate.
Admission is $38.95 for adults over 42 inches and $29.95 for kids under 42 inches, with seniors 60 and up at $28.95, military at $30.95, and ages 2 and under free. That covers all water attractions from 10am to 6pm.

Online tickets start at $40.99 plus tax for guests over 52 inches, versus $45.99 at the gate. Guests under 52 inches and seniors 55 and up pay $40.99 either way, and ages 2 and under are free. The price also folds in parking, tubes, life jackets, soft drinks, and shows, so your day-of spending stays low.

Spring Valley Beach, Blountsville: The North Alabama Favorite
Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville is a summer institution for families between Birmingham and Huntsville. It is open seven days a week in season, 10am to 6pm, and it prices by height rather than age, with a 4-foot cutoff.
Weekday base rates, which cover Monday through Friday and Sunday, are $35 for adults and anyone over 4 feet, $30 for kids age 3 up to 4 feet and seniors 62 and up, and free for ages 2 and under.

Pirate's Bay Water Park, Leesburg: The Budget Pick on the Lake
